Have You Experienced Narcissistic Abuse?

We’re Here to Help

Our Program

We work with you one-on-one to help you overcome the effects of narcissistic abuse. Here’s what you can expect from our program:

1. Matching

The first thing we’ll do is have a one-on-one meeting to match you with a licensed mental health professional you feel comfortable with.

2. Sessions

Once you’ve been matched, you’ll meet with them 2-3 times a month to address the effects of narcissistic abuse you’re experiencing.

3. Practice

After each session, you’ll receive a summary of your discussion and a guide to help you apply the insights you’ve gained to your day-to-day life.

4. Check-Ins

This mental health professional will also check in with you between sessions to help you stay consistent with the changes you’re working on.

5. Community

You’ll have access to our community, where you can connect with people who understand what it’s like to experience narcissistic abuse.

Our Program’s Results

When someone leaves our program, we send a survey to ask if we helped them overcome the effects of narcissistic abuse and if they’d recommend us to others.

As of January 1st, 2025, our program has a 92% success rate, with 96% of our members saying they would recommend us to others.

Our Mental Health Professionals

Here’s our three-step process to ensure you’re matched with a mental health professional you can trust.

1. Qualifications

They must hold a master’s degree in psychology and have at least five years of experience working with individuals recovering from narcissistic abuse.

2. Screening

They must complete a series of interviews so our team can evaluate their clinical skills, ethical standards, and understanding of narcissistic abuse.

3. Training

If selected, they must participate in monthly training sessions to continue improving the way they help you overcome the effects of narcissistic abuse.

Our Members’ Success Stories

Here are some of the wins and positive experiences our community members have shared:

Our Story and Mission

We were founded in 2021 by Juliana and Elijah Akin.

Our mission is to help people build a life free from the effects of narcissistic abuse that reflects who they truly want to be.

Here’s why:

For the first 22 years of her life, Juliana had a distorted understanding of what healthy relationships are because she grew up around a lot of narcissistic people.

This all began to change when she walked into a café in Rauma, Finland, and met Elijah.

He had gone through similar experiences with narcissistic abuse but had a deeper understanding of it at the time.

So, he was able to help her understand a lot of different things and their relationship created the space they both needed to work on themselves and heal.

But the more they learned about narcissistic abuse, the more they realized just how fortunate they were to be in the position they were in.

There are millions of people who spend their entire lives struggling with the effects of narcissistic abuse, often without even knowing it.

And yet, because they happened to be in a café at the same time in Rauma, Finland, of all places, they were able to start a healing journey that turned their lives around.

So, the reason they decided to create Unfilteredd was to make the turning point they found in the café that day accessible to everyone.

They started by just writing articles, but over the years, they’ve recruited several mental health professionals to help build Unfilteredd into what it is today:

No matter what your story is, we believe you deserve and are capable of living a life free from the effects of narcissistic abuse that reflects who you truly want to be.

This is why we’ve dedicated our entire lives to helping you take the first step and are committed to being by your side every step of the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, this isn’t therapy.

You’ll work with a licensed mental health professional, but there are services we don’t provide, such as diagnosing mental health disorders.

Our mental health professionals focus on helping you overcome the effects of narcissistic abuse you’re experiencing.

For example, let’s say you have a low sense of self-worth because of the abuse you experienced.

We’ll help you develop personalized strategies you can start using between sessions to improve your self-worth.

Then, in our next session, we’ll reflect on what worked well vs. what didn’t, make any necessary adjustments, and try again.

This process continues until you’ve overcome the effects of narcissistic abuse and built a life that reflects who you truly want to be.

Of course, you and the mental health professional you’re matched with will have a collaborative and supportive relationship.

But at the same time, our goal isn’t to keep you here indefinitely—it’s to help you move forward and live life to the fullest.

This approach is one of the main reasons we have a 92% success rate, and 100% of our members say they’d recommend us to others.

The cost depends on your needs, preferences, and experience with narcissistic abuse.

This is because these factors determine the mental health professional you’re matched with, and different professionals may have different rates.

Once we have a better understanding of those details, we’ll be able to walk you through all the options available to our members.

That said, one thing we’re proud of is our built-in financial aid system. We spent five years building this system to ensure our program is accessible to everyone.

We’ve worked with people from all financial backgrounds, including those receiving welfare, social security, and other assistance programs—and price has never been a barrier.

(This statement was last updated on December 23rd, 2024.)

We’re committed to finding a solution that works for you. So, if price is a concern, please schedule a call with us—we’ll work together to find the best path forward.

This isn’t a commitment; it’s an opportunity to discuss your current situation and explore the steps you can take to make meaningful progress.

If you want to overcome the effects of narcissistic abuse and build a life that reflects who you truly want to be, this program is for you.

If at any point we believe you would benefit from support beyond what this program provides (like therapy), we’ll let you know and recommend you connect with a licensed mental health professional who specializes in narcissistic abuse.

That doesn’t mean you’ll be left on your own. We’ll give you a list of professionals we have worked with in the past and trust, so you have clear, informed next steps.

You living a life free from the effects of narcissistic abuse that reflects who you truly want to be is, and always will be, our biggest priority.
