What to Expect In Your Free Session

1. Your Situation

You’ll walk us through your situation and the challenges you’re facing.

2. What You Can Do

We’ll help you understand what you can do and why it’s important.

3. How You Can Do It

Together, we’ll come up with a plan you can start following right away.

4. Example

Let’s say you come to the session and say, “I’m struggling with trauma bonding.”

Here’s what we would do:

1.) Your Situation

We’d ask a few questions to understand what the trauma bond is looking like for you, and answer any questions you may have.

2.) What You Can Do

We’ll walk you through the steps you can take to break a trauma bond and help you understand why those steps are important.

3.) How You Can Do It

We’ll help you figure out how to take each of those steps in a way that makes sense for your specific situation.

What It’s Like Working With Us

If you decide to work with a professional from our team after your free session, here’s what you can expect.

1. Matching

We start by meeting with you one-on-one to match you with a licensed mental health professional you feel comfortable with.

2. Sessions

You’ll meet with them one to four times per month — it’s up to you how often — to work through the challenges you’re facing.

3. Progress

You’ll leave each session knowing what you can do about the challenges you’re facing and with a plan for how you’ll do it in your specific situation.

4. Check-Ins

Your mental health professional will check in between sessions to help you stay on track, but you can always reach out if you ever need anything.

5. Community

We have a private community and weekly live events where you can connect with others who understand what it’s like to experience narcissistic abuse.

Who You’ll Be Working With

This is how we select the mental health professionals who join our team.

1. Qualifications

All of our mental health professionals hold a master’s degree in psychology and have at least five years of experience with narcissistic abuse recovery.

2. Screening

They go through a series of interviews so we can evaluate their clinical skills, ethics, and understanding of narcissistic abuse.

3. Training

If selected, they participate in monthly group training sessions to deepen their understanding of narcissistic abuse recovery.

4. Feedback

After sessions and support groups, we send feedback forms to help us continuously improve the quality of care we provide.

What People Are Saying

After each session, people are invited to share feedback about their experience. Our mental health professionals currently average a 4.87 out of 5 rating.

“You struck a great balance of listening and taking the time to get to know me, while also challenging me in ways that help me grow.”

“I liked how genuine and present you were. It never felt like you were just doing a job, it felt like you were in it with me.”

“You were so compassionate and non-judgmental, I didn’t feel like I had to hide or hold anything back to be believed.”

“It meant a lot that you always asked for feedback and used it to make changes that helped me feel more supported and understood.”

“You didn’t just jump in with advice or your opinion. You took the time to listen and think before responding, and that made me feel respected.”

“The way you responded when we saw things differently was always gentle and respectful. It never felt like you were trying to prove me wrong.”

FAQ:

No, this isn’t therapy.

You will be working with a licensed mental health professional.

But we don’t provide services like prescribing medication, diagnosing mental health disorders, or treating clinical conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or sleep disorders.

If at any point we feel your needs are outside what we can help with, we’ll connect you with a qualified professional who can give you the right support.

Your first session is completely free.

If you decide to continue after that, each session is $75.

We’ll never pressure you to keep going after your free session.

The choice is completely yours.

This isn’t a commitment.

It’s simply an opportunity to talk about your situation and explore what you can do about the challenges you’re facing.

If your life has been affected by a person you believe may be a narcissist or someone with narcissistic traits, this is the right place for you.

We’ll help you heal and move forward with your life. And if at any point we feel we’re not the right support for you, we’ll help you find someone who is.

Everything you share with us is kept confidential, unless you give us permission to share it, or there is a risk of harm to you or someone else.

If you aren’t happy with a session, we’ll refund it, no questions asked.

The maximum you can refund is one month’s worth of sessions.

For example, if you weren’t satisfied with your June sessions, we’ll refund that entire month.

We can only refund your most recent month, not previous months.
