“I don’t have what it takes to handle things on my own.”
“I don’t have what it takes to handle things on my own.”
Experiencing narcissistic abuse can cause a lot of self-doubt.
Because of this, you end up constantly seeking validation, help, and reassurance from others.
This doesn’t make you a “less than” or anything like that.
But it does make you vulnerable to manipulation and abuse.
One thing you can do to start changing this is problem-solving.
Once a day, week, or month, choose a problem to solve on your own.
For example, you could troubleshoot a tech issue you’re having on your computer.
Then, write down how it went so you can keep track of your progress.
Why?
Well, keeping a record of your problem-solving attempts helps you improve over time.
As you improve, you’ll reach a point where you have a HUGE stack of proof of your capabilities.
When this happens, it’s REALLY hard to believe you don’t have what it takes to handle things on your own.
All the best,
Juliana
