Breadcrumbing is when a narcissist gives you inconsistent signs of interest, leading you to believe in the possibility of having a better relationship or connection with them. For example, imagine the narcissist in your life has always neglected you. But one day, they say, “You’ve always been special to me. We should spend more time together.”
