Jane Ajaya

LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER

Jane Ajaya, MSEd, LCSW is a clinical social worker currently licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She earned both of her graduate degrees at Rutgers University. In 1992, at the graduation ceremony for the MSW, Ms Ajaya received the John Forman Award for excellence in facilitating group dynamics.

In the early years of her career, Ms Ajaya worked in alternative and therapeutic schools and on the child study team of two suburban NJ school districts. In Chatham, NJ she implemented a district-wide pilot program to integrate conflict resolution and mediation skills into the curriculum. The program successfully changed a culture of bullying and harassment and taught pro-social values and skills.

In 2005, Ms Ajaya established an agency (Center Circle Counseling Services) that provided psychotherapy and social services to children and families on medical assistance. During all the transitions in her early social work career, Ms Ajaya maintained a part-time psychotherapy practice until 2009. Since then, she has worked full-time with individuals, families and couples in private practice.

Ms Ajaya’s practice is informed by many theories and modalities, but it is never one-size-fits-all. Her work is eclectic and holistic. She helps relieve suffering with individualized and comprehensive care including all aspects of human being, emotional, interpersonal, physical and spiritual. Ms Ajaya teaches skills to advance personal freedom and growth, such as mindfulness and emotional and nervous system regulation.
