Watch Out for These Types
Narcissists can show up in different ways, depending on their personality traits and goals.
Understanding these types can help you recognize and navigate their behaviors in any situation:
Communal Narcissist:
This type appears overly caring and generous, often highlighting their efforts to help others.
However, their actions are primarily for show, aimed at gaining praise, admiration, or recognition.
They may use their “good deeds” to manipulate or control others.
Covert Narcissist:
This type seems shy, humble, or insecure, but they secretly crave attention and validation.
They often play the victim, using subtle manipulation to make others feel guilty or responsible for their happiness.
Malignant Narcissist:
This is the most dangerous and toxic type, characterized by cruelty, manipulation, and a lack of remorse.
They often enjoy creating conflict and may go out of their way to harm others emotionally or even physically.
Grandiose Narcissist:
This type is openly arrogant, self-centered, and entitled.
They constantly seek admiration, exaggerate their achievements, and dismiss the feelings or contributions of others.
Their sense of superiority can make them dismissive and invalidating.
