Janet Bayramyan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the states of California (LCSW# 88575), Florida (SW# 16210), South Carolina (#15094). She has been working in the field of psychological support since 2016. Her work experience includes working at psychotherapy clinics and centers.

Janet Bayramyan has worked with a variety of clients of different ages and backgrounds – those struggling with severe psychiatric mental illnesses, substance and process addictions, couples dealing with a wide range of relational problems, and individuals working through past trauma, etc. Her belief is that therapy should be supportive and trauma-informed. Additionally, it should be culturally sensitive and consider all the layers of one’s identity, including gender, race, and sexuality.

Janet is aware of the complex impact of trauma, no matter how big or small, on an individual and a relationship. Her approach integrates this knowledge into every aspect of your treatment. While she does provide her clients with coping skills using a variety of therapeutic modalities, the goal is always to get to the core of the problem.

Janet believes everyone has a powerful story, and she also believes in everyone’s inner resiliency and self-empowerment. Janet believes that everyone who has experienced life’s ups and downs are incredibly resilient, and she likes to see herself as a guide to support in getting to a place of inner acceptance and harmony. Janet doesn’t believe those painful moments mean that you’re “broken” or need to be “fixed” in any way. She truly sees therapy as an opportunity to slow down, understand the experiences better, make meaning, and learn how to cope more effectively.

Janet Bayramyan is an EMDR certified psychotherapist. She is also trained in Attachment Focused EMDR, the Havening Techniques, Brainspotting, and other trauma modalities. Using the lens of EMDR, Janet helps clients understand and process the impact of trauma and move through states of protection and connection in their nervous system to establish an embodied sense of safety. Additionally, she is a clinical supervisor for therapists who are working towards their licensure.

Janet’s process in working with clients is collaborative, and flexible. She wants everyone who enters her office to know that your emotions aren’t too much for her, your anger isn’t scary to her, your pain is something she is willing to honor and sit with, and your traumatic experiences won’t disturb her. Janet will help you hold all of this so you can work together to help you get some relief and create the life you want.
