Learning to Regulate (INTRO)

Now that you know the basics of nervous system rewiring, you will learn three practices that help you to rewire your nervous system. These three practices are:

  • Regulating FFF (Fight-Flight-Freeze)
  • Practicing interventions (there are three interventions: self-talk, rumination, and grounding)
  • Re-exposing self to safety.

Learning to regulate is not only about rewiring our nervous system. It is also about:

  • Understanding feelings and discomforts and
  • Managing flashbacks.
